How does Board Plan  Coaching work?

You will meet with your coach for six sessions over 3 months, virtually or in person.

While each session will focus on what you most need, most sessions follow the following cadence:

1) Initial: Setting goals for your board plan and what you'd like to accomplish over 6 months, 12 months, 24 months

2) Information gathering - session on your background as it relates to board service

3/4) Craft your board narrative - boil down the information gathered and reformat into a board relevant CV *includes Board CV template

5) Build your strategic board network - identify targets and a strategic outreach plan 

6) Review and take forward - review your narrative, network plan, assess any conversations or feedback from outreach and recalibrate as necessary

 

Board Plan Coaching ranges from USD $5,000 - USD $10,000 for the 3-month plan.

Diana Wu David

With over 30 years of corporate experience, including executive roles at the Financial Times, Diana has a deep understanding of boardroom dynamics from multiple perspectives. As a former Financial Times executive, she spearheaded the creation of the Financial Times Board Director Programme in Asia, demonstrating her commitment to developing high-caliber board members.

Diana's board experience spans across private, association, NGO, and start-up boards, giving her a comprehensive view of the diverse challenges and opportunities in different board environments. Her hands-on experience as a board practitioner allows her to provide nuanced insights into board dynamics and behaviors, helping aspiring directors navigate the complexities of boardroom discussions and decision-making.

Elaine Chung has over two decades of global experience in executive C-Suite and independent non-executive board roles. She currently manages a portfolio career with board and advisory roles dedicated to fostering purpose-led, financially sustainable, and outcome-focused businesses.

Elaine serves as an independent non-executive director at Novotech Health, East West Seed, WWF International, and the International Baccalaureate.

Her career is marked by a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a commitment to sustainability, spanning various industries including healthcare, consumer goods, food tech, aquaculture, and supply chain management. She has driven transformative change in organizations ranging from MNCs to start-ups and family businesses.  Notable brands include  Dole, Temasek, VF (The North Face, Timberland, Vans, Lee, Wrangler, etc.), Zuellig Pharma, and the UN World Food Programme.

She is deeply committed to mentoring and developing future leaders, and her infectious enthusiasm and talent for curating connections make her a natural mentor and global connector.
